The Holy Spirit showed me a table laden with gold and jewels. There were crowns, sceptres, goblets, bracelets, necklaces – treasures of gold, of every kind. But then I realised that these treasures were useless and even abhorrent (repulsive, disgusting) to the hungry, dying man that God then showed me. His immediate need and desire was for food and drink, but there was none. These riches were utter poverty to him.
And I heard God say,
‘There are many who seek after and fill their lives with the riches of this world. When the people of this world come to their tables, they find them useless and even abhorrent – because they are hungry and dying. What they need is true riches, what they need is My presence, My power, My wisdom and My life.
You have the capacity to be filled with all of these, but you must seek Me to find them. When you seek Me, I will not only fill you with what you need, I will fill you with what this dying world needs. People will come to you and will be satisfied with the table that you present and represent.’
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.
Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?
