I hear God say, ‘Restoration after desolation’; ‘Restoration after desolation’. Even a third time he speaks it, as a command, thus calling it to be established around and in you:
‘Restoration after desolation’.
There are places in you that have felt as if an army of locusts were released and have stripped you bare, leaving you exposed and bereft. There was even shame that in moments you could not ‘hold it all together’.
Now there is a dam of restoration bursting its waters over you. It is the time of rebuilding. It is the time for 100-fold return on what was taken, lost and removed.
God releases a new hope for forlorn hearts that indeed his restoration is upon you and yours.
O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
