Songs are written about kings and heroes. God wants you to be His hero: to become the hero of your own story, to be a hero of the Kingdom of Heaven – for good, for justice and for the truth of God’s Word. A hero is an overcomer of a grand task.
Many times you may choose to be quiet. Many times you could give in, give up, or do the wrong thing. Yet God is asking you in this coming year, ‘Will you choose to become my hero? Will you be the man or the woman I need in this hour, and stand?’
For if you say ‘yes’, God will work in you and make you a hero for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Nations need heroes. Children need heroes to emulate. People need heroes to inspire them in time of need. Finances are short, and times are hard and we are people in need of heroes. So God says once again, ‘Rise up, for your light has come. Arise and let your light shine before others, and let them see your good works, so they glorify your Father who is in Heaven’.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
