Mighty thoroughbreds of God, it is time to stand up to your full height, it is time to put your heads out of the stable door and smell the air, for there is a new scent in the air. There is a smell of mission and warfare and victory in the air; there is a new fragrance hanging in the mists, because the Lord of Hosts is riding into the land, bringing with Him new banners and flags. The Spirit of the Lord is hanging low in the air.

And your long season in the stable is coming to an end. In the stable you have found refuge and a degree of protection. You have said, ‘the nights have been cold, the hay uncomfortable and the oats tasteless… but at least I am safe behind these doors, safe in the stable-yard’.

Now I see the Holy Spirit swing open the top half of your stable door. You find yourself drawn to the light that streams in from outside, you are ready to put your nostrils to the clear air and breathe in the fresh fragrances. As you stand up to put your head out over the stable door, look and see how tall you are! You’re not a little weak foal, you are a mighty thoroughbred – like a prince among racehorses. You are strong and ready. It is time to be fed from the hand of the Master, it is time to allow Him to run His hands through your sleek and glossy mane. It is time to ride out with the King!

Zechariah 2:7-11
“Come, Zion! Escape, you who live in Daughter Babylon!” For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you – for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye – I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.
“Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the Lord. “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you”.
