I see the Lord placing things into our hands in this season that at first glance seem like the wrong tools for the job. But as we pause to look again and listen to His instruction, we see how perfect these things really are.

The Lord wants to remind us of how David defeated Goliath with a small stone – and how a rod placed in the hand of Moses was used to part the Red Sea before him, as his enemies pursued. For the Lord uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise!

‘Be obedient with what I put in your hand,’ says the Lord, ‘for in this season I am training my children to rely on me and my ways alone, so that those who look on see my glory and no one else’s.’

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
