I was reminded about what it was like to spend some time on a bouncy inflatable – for example, a ‘bouncy castle’. How much fun it was: the falling over as you tried to remain upright, even as others bounced around you. But sooner or later, you had to come off – and when you did, after spending some time bouncing, there was the initial difficulty in walking in a straight line on the solid ground again.
And God said to me, “Many of my children walk through life and their spiritual life is like the bouncing up and down on the inflatable. They have no sure footing and they often fall over, unable to get up. They do not know what it is to stand on the solid rock of my word. They are up and down all the time with no consistency and therefore no fulfilment.
My desire for you is for you to walk straight and forward in all of my will and in the plans that I have for you, but these will only be fulfilled as you stand on the sold rock of my word. It is here that you will have security and fulfilment. No more of the ups and the downs, but instead the continually going from one degree of glory to the next.
So it is time to stand on the sold rock of my word. Make that your sure foundation and you will never fail!
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
