‘You are firmly planted’, says the Lord.

You have been swaying and shaking in recent times because of a multitude of pressures. Tumultuous days seem to have been an all-too-common encounter in this past season. But the Lord affirms to those who wholly seek after His kingdom: ‘You are firmly planted and strongly established in me and my presence. I will not allow you to be uprooted or torn from your foundations and thrown aside. Rather, I come in the shaking and swaying to deepen your roots in me, through an increase of faith and perseverance.’

I watched what looked like a palm tree being shaken violently. As this tree was being shaken the roots seemed to be multiplying and deepening and, rather than the tree becoming weaker, it became much stronger.

Receive the assurance of the Lord: ‘If you keep your eyes fixed on me and your ears tuned to my truth, amidst the turmoil I will deepen and strengthen you and I will ensure that you will be well established.

I declare over you: you are firmly planted!’

Colossians 6-7
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

2 Samuel 22:3-4
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my saviour; you save me from violence. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
