As the world increasingly changes and pressure to conform becomes almost unbearable, remember that you are not the world’s. You who are in Christ do not belong to the world and it should have no influence over you. You are a citizen of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, a dominion which is outside all control and conformity of the world’s ways. His Kingdom is everlasting, outwith time. His Kingdom is growing and its government will never stop increasing. His Kingdom is one of true power and a source of hope to all. And you are part of this Kingdom, for you are His.
Your home is not where your physical feet are placed at this moment, nor is it where you rest your head at night. Your true home is now with Christ. The ways of His Kingdom are the ways that you must live by and conform to, not the world’s. And, as you align yourself with these ways, you align yourself with the Kingdom that cannot be shaken, that is ever increasing, that is coming, that is power, that is outwith time; it is a Kingdom that cannot be controlled by man, that will never be destroyed, that will never conform to the world’s ways – where sickness, pain and sorrow does not exist. It is a Kingdom that is alive and active, a Kingdom that is advancing and on the move, one that is taking territory and is not in retreat. This is the Kingdom that you are a part of and this is the Kingdom whose ways He calls you to align yourself with.
Shake off the pressure to conform. Brush from your shoulders the desire that even your flesh has to blend in and go unnoticed and choose today to align yourself with the Kingdom of God, your true home.
I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
