Song of Songs 2:12
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.

This is a season for us to rejoice and give thanks with singing. Scripture is full of song – the songs of God and the songs of His people. In the beginning the bright Morning Star sang as God spoke creation into being and in Revelation the living creatures in heaven sing, ‘Holy, holy, holy…’ to the only one worthy to receive such praise.

Miriam crossed the Red Sea with a song of thanksgiving. Hannah sang with gratitude when Samuel was born and David sang out his heart in the Psalms. So beloved, rejoice! ‘The winter is past, flowers are starting to grow, the rain is over and gone and the cooing of doves is heard in this land: the season of singing has come.’

What is the sound of your heart? What is the sound of your house? The Lord in the midst of you is mighty to save and He rejoices over you with a song. Respond to Him likewise because Beloved, you are loved indeed.

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
