I heard the Lord say, ‘I am coming to meet those who have felt frustrated with the current state of affairs. I am coming to meet your frustration and to push you through. For your frustration was not a curse from the enemy but something that I enabled in you so that you would not settle where you are.
For many, you have felt this way since the day you were born. For others, it was a progression as you became aware that, ‘there must be more’. As a result, you perhaps became dissatisfied with ‘church-as-we-know-it’ and frustrated with the way things have been. Do not despise this. It is what makes you a pioneer. But in the midst of this, allow yourself to be gracious to the previous and the past. Bless what has been and what is already established.
‘Oh my pioneers, arise!’
‘For your day was not yesterday but is today! It is time to come out of your caves of disappointment, grab hold of what I have placed within you and run into new territory and steward a new expression of my kingdom in the earth. Shake off your discouragement and embrace your dissatisfaction with the status quo. Use your frustration at the way things have been to motivate and push you on into the new, the greater and the magnificent. I did not make you for yesterday but I made you for today and tomorrow.’
Behold, the former things have come to pass, and the new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.
