Diving into the Book

I saw an open Bible, with its pages flicking to and fro in a gentle breeze. The Holy Spirit was blowing across the pages so that they did not stick together but instead continued to flutter and turn over, like the leaves on a tree. Then I saw a little person, the size of an ant, running backwards and forth in front of the open book, not knowing how to get up onto it. A voice spoke and said, ‘Put out your arms’, and the person did. As they did so, the gentle breath of the Spirit picked them up into the air and then dropped them down from a height, towards the middle of the Bible. As they dropped, the person positioned themselves like an Olympic diver and they plunged into the pages, as if they were a deep, blue pool. Deeper and deeper into the book the person swam, until they were no longer visible above the ‘surface’ of the pages.

And the Holy Spirit says to you today, ‘Put out your arms and allow me to take you up, up and higher up, so that I can drop you into the very depths of the words that I breathed. Where things have become confused, stale, difficult or an effort, I am making them easier, clearer and deeply refreshing. Come and dive into deeper places of truth, life, revelation and wonder. Come and enjoy my word.

2 Corinthians 3:16-17
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
