God showed me a picture of a beautiful sailing ship in a harbour, but its sails were rolled up and secured. As it sat still, provisions were loaded in, it was painted and polished and charts were rolled out on the captain’s table – it was being prepared for its next adventure. This ship was ready just as it should be to set sail.
This sailing ship represents you, a vessel sent to sail upon the waves of the Holy Spirit, embarking on God adventures. Sailing ships are not mean to sit in the harbour; they are purpose-built to ride the seas with its sails unfurled, spread out fully open to catch the wind. God has intended that you live by the wind of His Spirit, going where He takes you, doing what He tells you to do. Be encouraged that you are well prepared and well stocked up – now is your time to set sail.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and, i am with you always, even to the end of the age.
