I saw lighting strike broken glass as it lay tossed aside, discarded as being of no value. Many of you may have felt like this before; tossed aside and of no value. But as I watched, the Lord struck the glass with flames of His fire, turning the discarded into things of beauty. The jagged and sharp glass became gems of great beauty, reflecting the Lord in His glory. A myriad of colours appeared; purples, ambers, emeralds and more, all capturing His creativity and majesty.

The Lord is calling back to Himself that which is His, and redeeming what He has already called beauty.

Revelation 21:5
He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.

  1. This is the first ‘Lion Bite’ I have read, having been recommended to it by a friend, yesterday. Almost exactly 13 tears ago when my marriage broke up, as a sincere Christian this was a shattering experience. I believe God then gave me a picture of a brick being thrown through a plate glass window, Shards of sharp, broken glass lay in a pile to be discarded. But God did not discard them; instead he took them, tinted them in all the colours of the rainbow and reset them to form a wonderful stained glass window. And he did not stop there, as his light shone through the window, so it illuminated all around with those same colours. Your word today reminded me of this picture and at last after such a long time, I believe it is being fulfilled. The great thing is that what started off as a functional if unexceptional window ends up as something of much greater beauty than the original, but this only comes about through first being broken and then being restored by God’s love, care, and master craftsmanship. Many thanks for your word of encouragement today and I pray that this picture may also encourage others. Paul
