I redeem your life from the pit.
In Genesis, you read how Joseph was taken out of the pit that his brothers had left him in. He was sold on to live in a place he didn’t want in his life, and he certainly didn’t choose. He faced family rejection and an unknown future. Yet he knew my overwhelming joy when he became the deliverer of his own family, and that rejection was turned around.
What does your life look like now? I still redeem and rescue you from the enemy’s lies and his plans. My Holy Spirit still picks you up, supports and sends you out with joy.
Though troubles may come, I release to you again a covering of peace for your stress and joy to give you hope. I am active in your world today, strong and mighty to save.
Stretch out your hands in hope and trust. Ask me for a dream life like Joseph. Envisage my plans for you to sustain you.
Lamentations 3:55 NIV
I called on your name, Lord, from the depths of the pit.
Genesis 50:19-20 NIVUK
But Joseph said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
