By Faith – your Lion Bites word for today

Hebrews 11:7 NIV
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

These days require that you live by faith just as the men and women of the Word did. Don’t lose heart when it feels bad or dark! Instead, look ahead by faith! Ask me to help you see ahead – out and over these days that feel so constricting and so pressing. Look and ask, “Lord God, what do YOU have ahead that will motivate and inspire my heart? What plans do you have for me that I need to know about today?”

I revealed my plans to Noah so that he would act by faith. I revealed my plans to Joshua and Caleb so that they would grab hold of the future Promised Land by faith! I want the same for you today. Come, by faith, and let’s discuss what is ahead.

And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.
