Where there is a hunger for God Rachel and her team are prepared to go!

Rachel is a popular author and has written many books. Her most recent book, published last year, is, ‘I Love Prayer: Connected to God, Changing the World’.

A daughter of missionaries who lived in India for the first 16 years of her life, Rachel and her husband Gordon worked alongside Reinhard Bonnke and the Christ for All Nations team in Africa. In 1984 while in Zimbabwe Rachel almost lost her life in a horrific car accident, but was miraculously healed by God. In 1990, Rachel and Gordon returned to the UK, and pastored a group of four churches in the Watford area and established Heartcry Ministries. They then moved to Oxford in May 2005 where Gordon was the Associate Minister at St Aldates Church until Dec 2010. Rachel and Gordon still live in Oxford and love the challenge and history of this student city which has seen great men of God like C.S.Lewis, John Wesley, George Whitfield and others walk its streets.[/fusion_person][fusion_text][fusion_text]

BY CAR

Travelling by car is very straightforward. There is limited parking at the church so you will need to park nearby (Asda Supermarket for example).
Please do NOT park in the nearby residential streets. This is a request from the Church on behalf of their local community. Thank you.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The good news is that getting to Bishopbriggs Community Church by public transport is fairly straightforward.

BY BUS

1. From Buchanan Bus Station (or the bus stop up the road from the Bus Station, on North Hanover Street):

Take either the No. 88, 89 or 89A bus (FirstBus) towards Torrance, Kirkintilloch, Harestanes, Campsie Glen/Kilsyth
The timetable for the 88 is here. For example, there is one leaving the Bus Station at 17:55.
It should take 35-49 minutes by bus.
Here’s a journey planner that might help you with the bus routes.

BY TRAIN
OR… take the train from Glasgow Queen Street Station (just off George Square) to Bishopbriggs Station. It’s then a 15 minute walk from Bishopbriggs train station to the church but you can get on one of the buses (88/89/89A) to take you that final leg of the journey in just a few minutes.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Please note that we are unable to help with accommodation for this event. Most hotels in Glasgow city centre are unfortunately already fully booked because of a concert at the National Stadium.

  • For those of you with cars, you may prefer to try towns to the north of Glasgow, such as Milngavie, Stepps, Lenzie or Kirkintilloch for other hotel/guest house options.
  • There are Premier Inns in Milngavie, Bearsden and Stepps. There is a well-reviewed Best Western hotel in Stepps (Garfield House).
  • Other hotels in the region are Boclair House Hotel and The Glazert House Hotel in Lennoxtown which is meant to be quite nice. But these may be quite pricey.
  • If you are a visitor to Scotland then you might prefer to base yourself somewhere like Stirling, (or Falkirk or Edinburgh) and then get the train from Stirling to Bishopbriggs (30 minutes, direct).
  • If accommodation is proving very problematic to you then we are also releasing ‘Saturday-only’ tickets, for those who can only attend for one full day.

Emma is a prophet who operates with authority and authenticity. She travels all over Scotland, the U.K. and Europe, giving clear and direct prophetic input to leaders, churches and ministries, equipping the body of Christ to better hear from God and apply it to transform lives, communities, cities and nations. A gifted communicator, Emma loves to preach, teach and activate – she comes from a long family line of Bible teachers (her father, who was a local Baptist church pastor for over 40 years, now works alongside Emma and her team).

In Glasgow, Emma and David lead an apostolic hub with a staff of over fifty experienced prophetic ministers. Their vision is to host the presence of God and to equip, inspire, train and release those who will bring Kingdom transformation into every sphere of culture. Over the last seven years, many thousands have been trained and activated in prophecy and the revelatory gifts. Emma and her team have given well over 15,000 man hours of personal prophetic ministry to people who travel to Scotland from all over the world. From the Centre, millions of ‘Lion Bites’ daily prophetic emails have been sent to strengthen and encourage the children of God in almost every nation.

Over the years, Emma has been a successful corporate business manager, a church leader, a media spokesperson, a trained counsellor and a student leader. She and David live in the heart of the city of Glasgow with their three remarkable children and Joy, their Labrador Retriever. They sponsor Clarence, a young Tanzanian boy, through the charity Compassion.

From leading prophetic check-up teams to freedom teams to travelling and serving in ministry to different Churches, Sam has served in many different capacities at Glasgow Prophetic Centre. Prior to joining us, He served for several years as the deputy director of a prophetic evangelism organisation based in Scotland.

Now, Sam is ordained with Christian International and serves on the Senior Leadership team for Christian International Scotland and Glasgow Prophetic Centre as Head of Media and Leadership Development, with a particular passion for developing an online resource centre for equipping the people of God to serve influentially in the different areas God has called them to. Sam is anointed as a dynamic, prophetic teacher and communicator and exercises this travelling locally and nationally, raising up a prophetically equipped church who know how to influence culture and advance the Kingdom of God.

Through sharp prophetic ministry, sound biblical teaching and passionate communication, Sam desires that the Church would wake up to their calling to release the culture of the Kingdom of God into the earth.

At the apostolic hub in Glasgow, Sam spends much of his time sharpening our team of volunteers, making sure they are prophetically brilliant and growing always. His remit has a particular focus on developing our media wing to better resource Christians across the nations, helping with the development of emerging leaders and line-managing some of our team.
