Joy and Delight – your Lion Bites word for today

“Am I your joy and your delight?”

There is a yearning coming from the throne room, and it’s a yearning for the people of God to know Him as their joy and their delight. Yes, these are difficult days, but He says, “If you will come and drink from my well, you will be satisfied. If you will come before me and set your heart upon me, I will meet you at the altar to be your joy and your delight. Come today; do not wait, and neither doubt nor hesitate. Come to my altar and let’s trade your worries for my joy and your concerns for my delight. I am faithful to care for you. I am faithful to watch over you. Come and let’s meet today.”

Psalm 43:3-4
Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.

Matthew 6:31-33 NLT
So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ ^ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
