Long-Term Stamina – your Lion Bites word for today

I see my people functioning well in the longer term, for I am releasing fresh boldness and peace. I see them acting in faith at a higher level, developing stamina as the lean athletes that I need in my church.

I am handing out new training schedules, specific to each person. They are adjustments to stretch and to strengthen; to be worked through with others in my team. So instead of reworking things learned in the past, grab hold of my plan which you will find is the correct mix of rest, work and play.

Rejoice in what I have done through you already and agree to be set at the starting line of these new days. Pick up your new shoes: the Gospel of peace. Dust off the tiredness felt in the recent season. Lay down the burdens that are not for you and gaze afresh on me, the Creator Coach, who will be walking with you, ahead and behind.

Galatians 5:1 NIVUK
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Ephesians 6:15 NLT
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

Hebrews 6:1 NLT
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.
