‘Above the furious flood’ – your Lion Bites word for today
Psalm 29:10-11 TPT
Above the furious flood, the Enthroned One reigns, the King-God rules with eternity at his side. This is the one who gives his strength and might to his people.
In the midst of the overwhelming floods of life, God is calling you to remember that He is the King who sits above and out of reach of the flood and you are seated with Him. God has pulled you up, far above the flood waters of turmoil, pain, upheaval and discourse, and has placed you in His realm, where there are streams that make Him glad; streams of peace and life.
You may feel overwhelmed or worn out but its time to give yourself a pep-talk. Speak to yourself and decree that you are seated with Christ and that His seat is ‘Above the furious flood’. Proclaim that you are surrounded by waters of peace and not distress. Call yourself to believe truth and not fact and anchor yourself in the truth that God is resourcing you with strength and might to overcome. This is a day for you to remember who you are, who you belong to and where you live from.
