Choose to wear my peace today
Your Saviour says, “Let my peace rest upon and be established afresh in your heart today; choose to wear my peace on your shoulders today. Take this moment to re-welcome my Spirit for the new day and make a decision not to partner with anxiety and worry”.
As you have walked through places and situations of fear and stress, you may have taken some of these negative emotions on board. In this, it is as if plastered strips of worry, anxiety and unnecessary caution are over your body, like a papier maché skin. Soon afterwards these coverings become as familiar and comfortable as a favourite jumper.
Will you spend time with Jesus today and allow him to reveal these strips and lovingly unpeal them as you repent and break agreement with them? Then, consciously and deliberately, choose to wear the peace that Christ is offering you – it’s made to measure!
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
