Commissioning by fire – your Lion Bites word for today
God is calling you to walk with determination into new dimensions of your calling and destiny; there is an urgency in His voice. Don’t hold back your ‘yes’ because your perceived inadequacies influence you from fulfilling your commission from God. He is always faithful to equip and provide.
If you feel your personal shortcomings are holding you back, ask the Lord to burn away all fear and unbelief in His holy fire of courage and boldness. Take confidence in the realisation that former men and women of faith, who were just like you, experienced in their day an empowerment from the God whose eyes are burning with flames of fire to accomplish His purposes. Now it’s your hour of opportunity!
Moses had an unexpected encounter with His destiny through a common desert bush, which burned with the holy fire of God and yet was not reduced to ashes! His difficulty in seeing how he could obey the call of God was that he had a stammer. But an encounter with the fire of God shaped Moses into the greatest deliverer Israel ever saw. God often uses the weak things to confound the wise! (1 Corinthians 1:27)
Decide today to answer the call of God on your life. Trust Him to burn away every restrictive hindrance and areas of limitation in the fire of His mission on earth. It is time.
