Hearing and Encountering Him – your Lion Bites word for today

Have you felt that you have spent long enough wandering in and around a place that seems desolate, dry and without life? Do you long to hear the Lord’s voice in a new way and do you long for deeper encounter with Him in His presence?

The Lord says to His sons and daughters, ‘Stop where you are. Stop the cycle of striving and the dejected feelings that ensue from this’.

God waits for you to break with the cycles of false expectation that you put upon yourself and that are not His expectations of you. He longs to bring you into a place of hearing His voice for yourself, not only through others – a new place of intimacy with Him. Set into motion this new place today!

Begin by making righteous declarations; declare that all the earth is the Lord’s! Begin to declare His mighty works, declare that there is no place or space in which He is void. Declare His beauty and presence in your life. Make a space, make a place. Then, hear His voice and hear His words to you.

Psalm 19:1-8
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
