Held close, but not limited – your Lion Bites word for today

‘My child, there are times when I just want to hold you close to me. There are times when I want to embrace you and hold you as a parent would cuddle a newborn close to their chest, wrapped in swaddling blankets’, says Father God.

So be discerning of those times when you feel your life is limited: there are certainly times when there are limiting walls that must be broken through or scaled. But your heavenly Father also reminds you that there are times when He will bind you up tight, just so that He can hold you close, times of impartation, stillness and rest when you cannot flail about or run away from His intimate gaze. Enjoy and relish those times… you need them to run the life without limits that He has given you.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
