Giving Relationships

Luke 6:37-38
Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.

The way of Kingdom relationships is this: give, and it will be given to you. Kingdom people aren’t people who demand and expect from others, when they are not prepared to give themselves. Kingdom people aren’t people who demand ‘their rights’ whilst being unwilling to fulfill their responsibilities.

God is putting His finger on our relationships today and is asking us to assess how we act and respond in those relationships – whether they be with a spouse, with family members, with bosses, work colleagues, friends – or even our Christian leaders. Are these relationships in which we give of ourselves, or do we merelytake of them?

There are many whose lives and relationships have become barren and desolate because they were not prepared to give. Consuming everything leaves only emptiness and barrenness.

Do you lack love? Give love.
Do you lack friendship? Give friendship.
Do you lack a listening ear? Be the one who listens to others.
Do you lack money? Give money.

This is the way of the Kingdom: give and it shall be given to you.

John 17:20-23
I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
