Higher up the Mountain – your Lion Bites word for today

I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, ‘I am calling you up higher, my people. You have come this far up the mountain of the Lord but I call you this day to a higher place – even to the mountain top. I beckon you, my children, to come up here! 

Many have stopped, only part-way up the mountain. However you have settled for the good instead of the best; you were created to ascend the hill of the Lord, to stand with me on the top of the mountain, in the fullness of my presence and all that I have for you. Do not become complacent in pursuing me; there is always more. Do not get complacent or settle where you are, there is so much more for you to experience and encounter of me. I call you this day to come up here; do not give in and settle, keep coming higher, for you will not be disappointed!’
      
So today allow the Lord to release to you a fresh passion to fully pursue Him; reject and renounce all that would hold you back from climbing the mountain of the Lord, including complacency, and commit this day to respond to His call to ‘come up here’. He is waiting for you!
 
Psalm 24:3-6
Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
