I am all you need

The Lord your God says, “My beloved ones, I am your everything. I am all you need – now and for ever more. Know this today; recognise and acknowledge this today.” Consider repeating this truth – daily… hourly even. This will be your distinctive-ness in these turbulent times.

The Lord your God reminds you: “I am your Jehovah-Jireh, who sees your present situation and provides for you, my child. I am Jehovah-Nissi, your banner in the battles, offering protection to my warriors who raise their hands to me. I am Jehovah-Shalom, because my peace is upon my children in this season ahead.”

Abraham, Moses and Gideon realised these truths about the Lord and acknowledged them in praise and worship. They even named places by these names of God so that they would not forget and as a testimony to others. Will you do the same today, in the midst of national and international turmoil?

Genesis 22:14 (NLT)
Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the LORD will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”

Exodus 17:15 (NLT)
Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-nissi (which means “the LORD is my banner”).

Judges 6:24 (NLT)
And Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the LORD is peace”). The altar remains in Ophrah in the land of the clan of Abiezer to this day.
