I will be your protection – your Lion Bites word for today

I am your shelter and your protection. I will cover you with my strong wings when you walk through those places and situations that feel oppressive. Today, says God, walk tall and walk with confidence because I am your strength and your shield.

Be obedient and be full of courage, secure in the knowledge that those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).

You have called on me and I will not forsake you; I will answer you. My right hand will keep you safe from anything that is set against you and I will even hide you from your enemies – this is not a day for the distraction of face to face battles against flesh and blood. Bypass those who would be an obstacle and walk straight to that place I have called you to set your feet and make your stand.

Leave the arguments and the battles with those who disagree with you to one side. Allow me to confront them on your behalf. Do not let these hand-to-hand skirmishes that seemed so important before be a distraction from the tasks that I have given you: this is a day to walk tall and with confidence so that the things that are to happen, will happen, says God.

Psalm 17:6-9
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings from the wicked who are out to destroy me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.
