Jesus – your Lion Bites word for today
As you look upon the Nativity and ponder the gift of Jesus being born into this world, would you ask the Holy Spirit to show you a new aspect of Jesus?
He left heaven and all of its position and power to come down in the form of a babe, but it wasn’t so that you would always view Him in His humanity. He came to set the world RIGHT! He humbled Himself in order to be exalted as King of kings and Lord of lords! Even in the form of a baby, He tipped the world on its head!
This Christmas day, will you come to the Nativity with new eyes and new ears? Come with a new expectation of WHO HE IS!
Philippians 2:6-11
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
