Keep watch and encourage

Don’t despise these days of small beginnings. Guard your heart against impatient thoughts which can lead to prideful thinking. Not everyone is at the same stage, not everyone is picking up their swords as fast as you have done, yet the day is coming when the Lord will pour out His Spirit on all flesh.

Be an encourager in this season. Is there anyone who has stumbled or has been left behind? Is there anyone who is wandering off track and needs you to side-step a little and help them re-find their way. There is coming a time when you will appreciate them beside you, bearing arms together in a great spiritual battle. Be ready, keep watch and be mindful of dark thoughts overcoming you as you journey.

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
