God, our sure and strong foundation, shouts to you, ‘Lean on Me!’ He sees how you are trying to find your feet, steady yourself, survive the storm and keep the faith. He loves that you have said ‘yes’ to Him, He loves that you have taken the plunge.
But it isn’t His plan that you now go this alone… you’re not doing this to prove something to Him… He loves everything about you already! ‘I need you to lean on Me right now…’, says the Lord, ‘… not for my benefit, but for yours! ’ Just as Samson, at his lowest and weakest point, reached out to God and He gave him strength (Judges 16:28), so too will He give you strength when you reach out and lean on Him.
His word says reminds you that He is a strong tower. Put your hands out, stretch your arms. He is your rock, your point of strength, your source of power and faith. Lean on Him for more.
Psalm 59:9-10a
You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.
