Momentum – your Lion Bites word for today

God is releasing a momentum to you right now, where you are. It is time to grab this word with both hands and run with it! It is not a time to hang back or look back to the last season, weeks or even days but instead to fix your eyes forward, on the place the Lord has made ready for you. God is propelling you forward in this season but your natural eyes would want to stay focused on the challenges of the present ‘reality’. For God’s momentum to propel you forward you need only look to Him and His truth; do not focus on the restrictive constraints of the earthly reality that presents itself in front of you.

Some of you are in a place of financial reality which is testing; some are in a place where health is being challenged; some are being challenged and pressed tightly in the workplace or family environment. God speaks over you today: ‘MOMENTUM!’

‘I am breaking you out of that stuck place you have found yourself in. I am challenging you to look to me again for that breakthrough momentum’.

Think about Moses who was, with millions of his people, stuck between Pharaoh’s army and the sea. God told him to stretch forth his hand and speak to the sea to part (Exodus 14:21). The parting of the sea required cooperation from Moses.

After there was no rain and a drought for three years, Elijah prayed and focused seven times in intercession before he saw breakthrough. Once the cloud had manifested he ran with great speed. Even faster than the horses! (1 Kings 18:46)

This is kind of momentum that God is releasing to you now! Momentum with speed! Receive this word and run with it!

1 Kings 18:41-46
And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.” So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.
“Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked.
“There is nothing there,” he said.
Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.”
The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”
Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
