Pierced for our transgressions

Today is a day to reflect on the suffering of Jesus. To once again, with wonderment, see how our freedom was accomplished.

Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

When Jesus’ back was being ripped to shreds with scourging, when Jesus had a crown of thorns forced on his head, when Jesus had nails hammered into his hands and his feet, when Jesus suffered such pain, when Jesus was humiliated on the cross, when Jesus bled and died… it was for you… it was with the heart cry that you would one day be his.

Immense love, remarkable freedom and complete acceptance are yours, right here, right now.
