Will you have a moment to ponder on the wonder of God made flesh, this Christmas? Will you make a small space amidst the hustle and bustle to consider the treasure that is the story of Emmanuel, God with us?
What a wonder! God Himself, carried in a womb, birthed and nursed by a girl, raised in Nazareth.
Allow you and your heart a moment of quiet, when you switch off the noise and allow the Spirit of Emmanuel, the Holy Spirit, to whisper treasures for you to ponder in your deep places. Allow yourself a moment to wonder; to gasp at the unbelieveable-ness of it all; to be overwhelmed – even confused – certainly mind-stretched, by this most miraculous part of God’s wonderful plan.
We like to have all the answers to everything nowadays, and to be able to look something up if we don’t understand it. But some things are just so great, so wonderful… so AWESOME… that they deserve a less instantaneous, more lingering, response.
