Released Like An Arrow  – your Lion Bites word for today

I heard the Lord say, ‘My Church, my people: now is your time to advance. Now is your time to move forward, take possession and release transformation. I have now turned the tables from a holding season – a time of staying still – into a season of forward motion and advance.’

You have been like an arrow in an archer’s bow – in a place where tension is allowed to build in the string for the sake of an accurate shot. For some, this process has caused frustration, as your pioneering spirit has been stirred. Yet for others – you have enjoyed the season of quiet reflection and pondering in your heart.

Just as the archer intends this tension in the still place of his aim to rise, so has God. He caused you to be still for a season so that He could prepare you for the coming advance, allowing tension to rise so that you would be like an accurate arrow. But, just as the arrow does not rest on the string of an archer’s bow forever, your season of tension and stillness will not remain for much longer.

In a moment, the archer releases his grip and the arrow is shot. In a moment, God releases His holding and you are now propelled forward into a place of accelerated advance!

As you consider this time of holding and, now, this moment of release, remember: for an accurate shot to occur, the process of tension, stillness and release have to happen in perfect harmony. So do not despise the period of holding that you have been in, for it is this time that has ensured your accuracy.
