Shake it off! – your Lion Bites word for today
The Lord of Heaven’s armies is calling you to ‘shake it off, shake it all off’ today.
For many, there has been a disquiet in their spirit that they are struggling to resolve. To those that feel this way, the Lord is calling you to shake off that which was never intended to be worn by you and place your full measure of trust in God. Just as David discarded the armour of Saul, you are to drop that which others have put on you that has subsequently weighed you down. It’s time to rise up and wear God’s personally designed armour and not the armour that others and even yourself have designed.
To those who hear this word, God is calling you to respond and ‘shake it off!’. Choose to hear God’s voice supreme above all others; read His word and let it land deep within you. Respond to his design for your life and be free from the weight of the wrong armour.
1 Samuel 17:38-39
Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. 39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. “I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off.
