Something’s got to give!

Psalm 34:8-9
O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the LORD, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want.

Your daily life and routine has become busy, full and even rushed. You rush from one place to another, the clock being your master. Things have got so hurried and busy to the point that food no longer satisfies your palate, and senses have become numb. Even as your natural senses have become numb, so too have your spiritual senses. You question Me about things that have gone wrong – or not according to how you had envisaged they would. Yet, event still you do not wait for the answer.

Something’s got to give!

Taste and see that I am good. Take time to taste and eat of Me. Renew your intimacy with Me. Just as you would not rush through your meal at the most expensive and prestigious of restaurants, sit with Me and savour what I have for you.

Then you will know My Word, sweet to your taste and bright to your eyes. Then you will gain understanding of My ways and answers to your questions

…but you must take time to taste and see.

Then, again, you will be able to say confidently: ‘God is good!’, from your own experience and taste.

Luke 10:38-42
Now as they were travelling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
