During winds and storms, an expeditionary team will huddle together for warmth, protection, encouragement and strength. And so, in the winds of storms of these days, the Spirit of the Lord will gather His people together in strong groups, rather than disparate tribes or lone teams. This is a blessing!
After all, we are called to be living stones, fitted together. But if anyone harbours an attitude of resistance or hardness, there is a danger of them spinning off into further isolation. This would be catastrophic in stormy spiritual times, just as it would be for explorers in the midst of a natural hurricane. Two negatively charged particles will repel each other, so be sure that you are not ‘negatively charged’.
Although you don’t know them yet, the Holy Spirit says that there are people that you will need and will rely on in the group in the times to come.
2 Peter 2:5
you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
