There is a time for everything on the earth; seasons come and seasons go. But know this, the season you are in is temporal. Those who are in a difficult or ‘winter’ season especially need to hear and absorb this truth today! The word of God tells us there is ‘a time to weep’ and yet there will come a day when it is ‘time to laugh’… and yes there is ‘a time to mourn” but then there will be ‘a time to dance’ once again.
Just as we see evidence of the seasons change in the natural (like the leaves on the trees changing from green to the magnificent autumnal colours of yellows, oranges and reds) so too you will see evidence of the seasons changing in your life. Keep looking ahead – set your focus on the One who sets the times and seasons; and walk through even your winter seasons of life in the knowledge that your God walks with you. Hold onto His truth that it will be time to laugh and dance once again.
Ecclesiates 3:1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
