The whisper of God – your Lion Bites word for today

The Lord is inviting you to listen today; to listen to His voice which comes as a whisper. It sounds like the gentle, spring breeze through the early leaves on the trees. It sounds like the sighing breath of someone in a deep and restful sleep. There is no clatter and no loud ‘alerting’ to this whisper – it can only be heard when one stills and quiets oneself.

The Lord says to you today, ‘I have much to share with you and it comes in the stillness and quietness of those moments you set aside. I long to whisper sweet words to you and long for you to be transformed by them. So come and be still. Come and listen for the breath of my whisper. Come and be quiet before me and I will whisper to you this day.’

God longs to speak the words of direction that you seek, words of encouragement to your heart and words of strategy to you – and He is ready to whisper in your ear, for your ears only. Be encouraged! God will meet with you as you quiet yourself before Him.

1 Kings 19:11-13
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood in the mouth of the cave.
