There’s no end to His increasing government

Isaiah 9:6-7
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

The child who was born, the babe in the manger, became the Lamb that was slain and comes now as the Lion of the tribe of Judah!

He comes with a mighty roar, declaring His Kingdom and His rule. He comes with justice and with judgement (which is justice for the saints by His shed blood*). Those who have – and who will – receive the Lamb and are washed in His blood are judged to be just and righteous. It is for you that He roars, judging on your behalf.

And in His roar He asks us:

‘Whose report will you trust?

When you see injustice and evil all around, and the corruption in high places, know that I am God and My Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.

The kingdoms of this world will continue to shake and crumble, whilst leaders fall and are removed from their lofty seats. But there shall be no end to My government and peace. It is in My Kingdom that you shall find peace, rest and security. By the ways of the world you will only find uncertainty, chaos and corruption!

So come out from the ways of the world and run with Me! Run with the Lion as I come with My power and authority.

Romans 8:21
…in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

(* Note that the judgement referred to above is the judgement through the blood of Jesus Christ – that those who are washed in the blood are declared just and are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The judgement that He brings is justice for the saints.)
