Trample on the things that overwhelm you! – your Lion Bites word for today

God is not blind to the stuff that overwhelms you – the practical things; the admin tasks needing done and the pressures of bills and finances that invade your thoughts, even in your precious, happy times with Him. He has heard your cries of frustration (and even of desperation) and is ready to move on your behalf.

‘Let us conquer these things together’, says the Lord.

Would you try the following prophetic act? Quieten yourself before the Lord then take some minutes to write down all the things that are trying to invade your mind and overwhelm you. Write this list on a sheet of paper and then stand on top of the paper. Re-affirm, out loud, your dedication to God and that you want this to be the correct order of things – Him first and above all things, everything else beneath you. Repent as the Holy Spirit leads. Break agreement with partnerships you’ve made with a spirit of fear, fear of man, anxiety, performance, poverty and so on…

Then, whilst you’re still standing on top of your list, begin to partner with Jesus Christ and make loud your declarations of victory over the things that were previously overwhelming you. Wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, over these things.

Most of the tasks may still require you to go and action them, but now you should be reminded that you are no longer a slave to them!

2 Corinthians 4:7-10
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies

Ephesians 1:7-10
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
