Turn up the heat – your Lion Bites word for today

Heed the Holy Spirit when He says that it is time to turn up the heat. It’s time to be blazing for God – no more lukewarm, no more mediocre, but instead to be on fire for your King.

It is a sacrifice of love, to be made more pure and to be more on fire for Him, to be one who blazes, one in whom the gold is being refined more and more… purity of life. It may not be comfortable when the heat is turned up, but God’s Son did not come into the world so that we could settle for comfortable lives. No! He sent Jesus so that you might have life in ALL its fullness.

Are you willing to come closer to the fire? Are you willing for the heat to be turned up and for all the dross to be skimmed away, skimmed off the surface? Time to turn up the heat!

Luke 3:16-17
John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand to thoroughly clear His threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
