Who can be against you? – your Lion Bites word for today
I am for you! says the Lord, so who can be against you? Invite me to come and burn away those troubling thoughts that repeatedly pester you and feel them go. Don’t entertain those who come with words to falsely accuse but instead turn your face away. Brush the dust off your feet when my truth is not received and continue on your journey with disappointment or disillusionment.
Your enemy comes to steal and destroy, to lie and accuse – but on what grounds? There is no truth in him. You are chosen as my own, pure and right-standing in Christ. Turn away from temptation, lies and accusation and walk humbly and confidently with me.
Romans 8:31-34
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honour at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
