You will walk above the darkness…

Numbers 21:6-9
The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. So the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.” And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

Many of you each day walk through darkness and even work in dark places where it seems as though the enemy is encamped all around you. For some this affects you in the form of headaches and weariness, for others even in bouts of depression.

God says, “it’s time to lift up your eyes above the dark clouds and the enemy activity around you, and look to the cross – the finished victorious work of the risen Christ Jesus. As you keep your eyes on Me, your faith is invigorated and you are vitally connected with My victory and light. Just as Peter walked on the water as He looked at Me, so you will walk above the darkness as you fix your gaze on Me.”

Psalm 23:4-6
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 34:7
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.
