Caught up in the whirlwind of His passion – your Lion Bites word for today

Have we begun to live in a fortresses of our own making, building up protection around ourselves and barricading us in against hurt?  Perhaps every so often we fling open the doors and lower the drawbridge to make a way for God to come in, so that we can be safely intimate with Him, but still keep everyone and everything else remaining outside of our walls.

Without realising it we have also been limiting God.

Yet the Lord is inviting each one of us – you – to come out. He is a limitless God, with heights and depths beyond your understanding. He wants to shower you with the rain of His love from heaven and to soak you with wonder! He is a mighty God and a storm flashes around Him, yet He wants to catch you up in the whirlwind of His passion for you and to take you to heights that you could never have imagined. And He will take you into the safest place imaginable, in the eye of the storm, to protect you on all sides.

So step out of the routines that you have established to protect yourself. Open your mind to new possibilities with Father God. Have a vulnerable heart before Him and trust. Don’t limit Him by the walls of your making. Let Him show you the wide open places and the freedom He has for you!
