Choose Love, Yield Fruit
Proverbs 8:10-11;18-19
Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her… With me are riches and honour, enduring wealth and prosperity. My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.
Will you allow the word ‘choose’ and the phrase ‘Holy Spirit – help me – today I choose…’ to be on your lips and in the forefront of your mind throughout the day and the night? Every situation that you encounter, every conversation or meeting that you entertain is going to be presented to you ‘on a plate’ by your Lord, who goes before you. How you then choose to proceed in these situations and encounters will define your personal ministry in the times ahead. The Lord asks, ‘My son, My daughter, will you choose love? Will you choose love, choose to love and choose to be loved in these moments that I ordain for you? Choose love, choose my ways over all else. For I am love.’
Choose this way of love and the promise of Proverbs 8:19 will be yours: ‘My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.’
1 Corinthians 13:1-3;13
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
