He rejoices over you
Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
Know that your God, who is the living God, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Yahweh – the great I AM, rejoices over you. He takes great delight in you; so much so that He is moved to sing! He is delighted with you and he says, ‘Well done!’
You have often carried more than you felt you can bear in recent times and it has taken its toll on you, on your joy, on your peace and on many other aspects of your life. But yet you have been faithful and determined, and so I say well done.
Remember that I am with you and I am mighty to save. So trust me to do that… trust me to take what you can no longer bear, so that you may encounter my love in a deeper, even more real way… and so that you can enjoy my song of rejoicing over you.
