Lord, Enable Lion with great boldness! –  your Lion Bites word for today

Acts 4:16-18
What are we [The Sanhedrin] going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they [Peter and John] have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.” Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

The same spirit that was at work amongst the Jerusalem Sanhedrin in the first century is at work around you in these days. It seeks to shut your anointing down and prevent you from doing what you have been gifted to do. It uses fear, intimidation, law, mockery, religion and even trends such as ‘correctness’ or ‘being relevant’ to shut down believers from fulfilling the resurrection mandate given by Jesus.

And, although Peter and John were bold in their reply to the leaders (‘As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard’) they still beat a retreat back to the relative safety of their own people.
But the company around them would not let them stay in hiding or retreat for long and rose up in prayer, ‘Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’

Today we make this prayer over you, whether you are part of a great company, a strong fellowship or even if you feel you are on your own and surrounded by threats:

Lord, enable your servant *|FIRSTNAME|* to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

Hear this prayer – and also pray it out loud over everyone else who receives this word today!

We look forward to hearing your testimonies!

Acts 4:31
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
