Night and Day (part 1)

Can you feel the urgency of the Holy Spirit today? Still yourself and allow Him to rise up within you and take over your usual dominating influences – your flesh, your mind, even your own spirit.

There is a trembling growing among the people of God, a trembling and a fear of the Lord that is rising and on the move among His church. Can you feel it? Can you feel it rise on the inside, in your very depths?

And the urgency includes a fresh call to night and day worship of the Lord God Almighty. A new degree of devotion, a new depth of worship-full living. Some of you are being called to devote your lives wholeheartedly to night and day ministering to the Lord, even a Levitical call:

Those who were musicians, heads of Levite families, stayed in the rooms of the temple and were exempt from other duties because they were responsible for the work day and night. 1 Chronicles 9:33

Others of you are being asked to facilitate, support and gather around these 24-7 worshippers. But we are all of us being called to lay down more and enter into a greater freedom of daily and nightly worship, even as we go about our everyday business.

‘It is possible!’, declares the Lord! ‘By My Spirit it is possible!’ Old habits might have to be taken captive and pulverised; it is time to embrace a new paradigm from heaven.

So would you take hold of this call today? Would you lay hands on your stomach and pray over your very depths, that the Holy Spirit might pull forth a new night-and-day lifestyle of worship, out of which all your other activity flows?

2 Chronicles 29:11
My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before him and serve him, to minister before him and to burn incense.”
