On the ropes… but victory is coming

The Lord showed me a scene in the spirit, of a boxing match. It did not look like a fair fight, as one fighter towered over the other, delivering blow after blow, leaving his opponent up against the ropes, exhausted. Then, suddenly, the weaker-looking one rose up in strength and delivered a blow to the other that seemed effortless, but it was more than enough to defeat his opponent and win the fight.

The Lord explained to me that many of His children are feeling like the weaker one in this picture. Many of you feel like you are on the ropes and about to lose the fight for good. But the Lord says to you today, ‘Not only am I giving you your fight back; you will know victory in a new way, with a new ease, as you let me rise up within you. No longer depend on your own strength, but on me’, says the Lord.

1 Samuel 17:45-47
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you. And I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that the Lord does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands.”
